‘The greater the suppression of an aspect,
the more distorted this aspect presents itself.
So every non-lived aspect
comes undisguised, distorted, judgmental, pervasive or secretly.
Only by illuminating this shadow
can this aspect exist in its
true sense.’

– Carl Gustav Jung –

General

As individuals, sometimes we all find ourselves in difficult situations or encounter people who make things difficult for us. When one is resolved, the next comes into play. It becomes a pattern that repeats itself over and over again in different areas (contexts) in our lives. Such as private, business, with friends, etc.

As a director, supervisor, counselor, teacher, partner or parent, you have to deal with a group of people for whom you are responsible. A variety of factors can create a dynamic in the group, which creates tension. Whatever you do, the tension keeps popping up like a multi-headed monster.

Chances are, you have so far sought solutions from the old paradigm of dualism. Based on the conviction that you are separate from your environment and that the solution lies with the other person. Unfortunately this is not the case.

According to Unity Conscious Leadership®, we are all connected to each other, constantly (un) consciously influence each other, whereby our outside world is a reflection of our inner world. That means that if you want to change your outer world, you will have to find solutions in your inner world.

Unity Conscious Leadership® provides answers, insights and opportunities to use obstacles and tensions for growth and transformation. It is confrontational (in a positive way) and requires continuous self-reflection, self-inspection and transformation.

Once you become aware of the functioning of Unity Conscious Leadership®, perceive and integrate it into your life, you will come closer and closer to your absolute happiness. A feeling of happiness regardless of the circumstances you are in.

The Unity Conscious Leadership® courses consist of three successive modules:

Personal Leadership
Cultural Leadership
Professional Leadership

Getting responsibility also means taking responsibility for the harmony, health and happiness of those you are responsible for. This is often a difficult task because you are dealing with behavior and culture within the system that is influenced by all kinds of internal (undercurrent) and external (upstream) factors.

As (ultimately) responsible you are also the culture bearer and therefore the key to changing the culture. By becoming aware and understanding the effect of the dynamics of behavior and culture, it is easier to “put your finger on the sore spot” and perform the appropriate interventions for the desired result. No more trial and error and no more high adviser costs.

The course Cultural Leadership is for those (ultimately) responsible who manage one or more people within an organization or system. Such as; directors and managers, board members, supervisors and commissioners, cooperation partners, caregivers, teachers, parents, officials, politicians and world leaders.

Do you recognize this?

As a director or manager, boardmember, supervisor or commissioner, cooperation partner, caregiver, teacher, parent, official, politician or world leader, you have a great responsibility.

As an organization or system (of people), the intention is to jointly achieve certain goals. You will also be assessed on this, while you depend on the different individuals within the system who influence the goals to be achieved.

Unexpected things happen and the goal is not achieved. Or certain obstructive behaviors keep repeating (patterns). Every time you take a step forward, you are pulled back again. You experience an “undercurrent” and are not in control. Whatever you do or let others do, no matter how much time, money and energy you put into it, the situation will not change or will only get worse. The complexity of elements and factors makes it difficult to “put your finger on the sore spot.”

You long for harmony, balance, stability, happiness, joy, health, rest and relaxation within the system and your own position.

As a Cultural leader you are the culture carrier and also the key to solutions in culture.

For whom and when?

  • As a director or manager;

you manage people who, despite your good explanations and instructions, always fall into old patterns and mistakes. Despite team building sessions and drinks gatherings, there is little or no unity. Absenteeism and employee turnover are only increasing. It seems as if “the noses are not in the same direction.” More and more clients are complaining or even leaving your company. People are working harder and harder but performing less. Turnover and profit are decreasing more and more.

  • As a board member;

you are responsible for the management and control of the organization. The factors of behavior and culture are intangible phenomena that you cannot get a hold of. Whatever you do, old patterns and “old pain” keep coming back. Meanwhile employees get sick and burned-out or resign. With the shortage on the labor market, it is difficult to find new motivated employees. The result is insufficient quality for the clents. On the one hand a Client Council and intsitutes that are gasping for you and on the other hand the Works Council with requirements. Personnel costs and external advisor costs only increase every year.

  • As a supervisory or commissary board member;

you have the task of supervising the director and management of the organization. And all this from a distant involvement with reports and only information what the board members considers important to share with you. In meantime, you are responsabel when things goes wrong in the organization.

  • As collaborative partners;

you struggle to align and to speak the “same language” with each other. There is misunderstanding, disagreements or no will to agree. Everyone is “sailing their own course” and meanwhile things are going less well with the staff, clients and company.

  • As a care provider;

you have to deal with various parties that cannot come to an agreement. When you think you have finally got the situation under control, something happens again that forces you to start over again. After work you come home burned out and still busy with your clients in your thoughts. You have trouble putting “your finger on the sore spot”.

  • As a teacher;

it is your job to make the students capable for their future with the talents they have been given. Create harmony, joy and curiosity for their growth. Encourage mutual connection and happiness.

  • As parents;

you disagree on the upbringing of your children. In your view, the children show “deviant” behavior, need external help or even need medication.
You want to contribute to the happiness and prosperity of the children; learn norms and values so that they can continue life independently on their own. A deep desire to form a harmonious, loving and connected family..

  • In a composite family;

with children from different relationships, the complexity of the dynamics is incalculable. You wonder if you’re doing things right. Everything you do is a seed for the children’s future. There is a lot of confusion among the children about who they are and what their place is in the new family. Struggle to take their place in the new system. Conflicting norms and values. Unrest and conflicts of loyalty. Different rules, norms and values in different situations (e.g. co-parenting). And then there is an ex and new partner with their own rules and wishes that the children also have to take into account.

  • In the government;

you have to deal with different political parties who all want to be equal. Often have conflicting interests. Some parties are strongly guided by faith and others from an ideology of the party leader. Economy driven in which the short and long term consequences for the wellbeing and happiness of the people are not taken into account. There is a desire to transcend mutual differences and to put the well-being and happiness of citizens and voters first.

  • As a world leader;

you are focused on economic interest and power. Connected with distrust to other world leaders. In the meantime, all kinds of invisible threats, such as cross-border viruses, diseases and natural forces, are lurking to upset the economic interest and power. Whatever you do will influence the collective one way or an other. Because everything and everyone is interconnected and interdependent with each other. The dynamics of subsystems in larger systems is unpredictable, complex and difficult to understand.
